 TEC of California, Inc. has been selected as a dealer of choice by the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach to supply trucks for the ports Clean Trucks Program. Selected from a field of over one dozen dealers, we have received a jump-start order for 100 Mack CXU613 and 100 Volvo VNLT300 Day Cab Tractors. The Ports’ Clean Trucks Program was recently launched to reduce air pollution from harbor trucks by more than 80-percent within the next five years. The Program calls for drayage truck operators to scrap and replace approximately 16,000 polluting trucks operating with old diesel technology currently working at the Ports. The Ports have fashioned financial assistance programs, including subsidized leases and grants, to help drivers and carriers with the transition.
